Sutton slams self-proclaimed football quack Tisdale & says Celtic sacking him is just as important as removing Nancy

- BY MICHAEL GANNON

CELTIC legend Chris Sutton last night insisted Wilfried Nancy's departure was inevitable - but the sacking of head of football operations Paul Tisdale is just as crucial.

The Parkhead idol, who won a Treble with Celtic in 2001, is convinced that by cleaning house now the club have a better chance of defending their Premiership crown.

Nancy was unsurprisingly binned last night after six defeats in eight games but fans were stunned to see Tisdale join him being bundled out the back door at Lennoxtown.

Tisdale has presided over three horrendous transfer windows since first joing the club as a consultant last January. The club sold Japanese ace Kyogo Furuhashi 12 months ago but didn't replace him and pulled the same trick in the summer window by selling Adam Idah to Swansea.

And Sutton last night insisted Tisdale had done little to deserve staying in post and his role in appointing Nancy could not be overlooked.
