AFTER attacking Venezuela, US President Donald Trump now seems to have his eyes on taking over Greenland, as we reported this week.

Green-eyed Don apparently wants the autonomous Arctic territory - which is currently part of the Kingdom of Denmark - for US security reasons. And the White House hasn't ruled out using military force to get it.

Here JAMES MOORE offers up 20 freezy facts about the place...

1. GREENLAND is the world’s largest island, covering 836,000 square miles - an area three times the size of Texas. And 80% of it is covered in ice and glaciers, with virtually no trees.

2. Humans began visiting Greenland from 2500BC, with the Inuit settling there from the 13th century.

3. The first European settlement had been set up by a Viking, Erik the Red in the 10th century. He called it Greenland hoping to attract other settlers, but by the 15th century the Norse folk had left.
