OASIS are wrapping up the US leg of their comeback tour tomorrow in Pasadena before heading to Mexico for a couple of dates in the Central American nation.

If the pronouncements coming out of Heimir Hallgrimsson's camp this week are anything to go by, Ireland's Green Army could be following that route next summer.

And although we are sure he didn't mean it, Hallgrimsson leaned into one of the Manchester band's most popular songs yesterday when he explained how his starting 11 had changed over the course of this week.

The former Iceland and Jamaica manager came into camp with a team in mind to face Hungary.

However, performances on the training pitch have forced a rethink, with Hallgrimsson saying that certain players have left him thinking to himself: "He's electric"

Tonight and tomorrow, Oasis play Pasadena's Rose Bowl, the venue for the 1994 World Cup final.

The Gallagher brothers, in this reporter's view, were at the peak of their powers when Roberto Baggio fired his penalty high over the Brazilian crossbar, with songs such as 'Cigarettes & Alcohol' and 'Whatever' all hitting the charts.
