Comic and actor, 49, in court accused of attacking 4 women

RUSSELL Brand allegedly raped a woman in a hotel room and another in a toilet, a court heard.

The British comedian and actor, 49, was charged last month with one count each of rape, indecent assault and oral rape and two counts of sexual assault, relating to four separate women.

He spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address and was granted conditional bail yesterday in a 12-minute hearing.

His case was sent to London's Old Bailey where he is due to appear on May 30.
