12ks of Xmas raising cash for Corking good causes

CORK'S Sanctuary Runners have launched a Christmas fundraising appeal, encouraging communities nationwide to 'step up for solidarity.

The charity has called on the public to get some exercise while raising money for a good cause.

The '12ks of Christmas' campaign takes place between December 9 and December 20, with participants completing at least 1km of any exercise for 12 days straight.

The campaign is designed to be accessible to all, and participants can walk, run or swim the distance to take part.
