“Despite earning massive profits, major technology companies are increasingly adopting cost-cutting measures to boost margins further resulting in mass layoffs. Reports indicate that over 1,00,000 tech workers have been laid off globally in just the first six months of this year. Last year, driven by fears of a recession, many companies downsized drastically. This year, the same companies are citing reasons such as artificial intelligence integration and corporate restructuring to justify job cuts.
