Williams: We're going to Wembley to upset Rovers

ENGLAND captain George Williams declared himself fit for the Challenge Cup final and then aimed a shot at those writing off his Warrington side.

The stand-off has faced a race against time to be ready for Saturday's showdown.

He was expected to miss the big day after needing ankle surgery which required an eight to 10 week recovery time. But the Wolves skipper simply ignored that - and worked overtime.

Williams revealed: "I am going to play. I've just fast-forwarded everything and shaved off a couple of weeks off the normal recovery time. I've done everything I can. I was going to be on crutches for two weeks but after a week I was walking. Then I ran a week earlier. I just speeded it all up a little bit. Before you know it you've shaved a couple of weeks off.
