Two people and dog rescued from house fire

A MAN and a woman were rescued from a house fire in Hull.

The fire service said it was called at around 4.30am on Monday to a property in Hayton Grove.

Humberside Fire & Rescue Service stated the fire started in the living room after a sofa went ablaze. The two adults - alerted by a fire alarm - were trapped in an upstairs bedroom.
