WHITEHEAD WANTS TO KICK-START HIS CAREER

HULL KR's new signing Tom Whitehead insists he has not joined the club simply to make up the numbers, as he looks to kickstart his Super League career at Sewell Group Craven Park.

The 23-year-old left Warrington Wolves after almost a decade to take on a fresh challenge with the Robins, signing a three-year deal ahead of the 2026 season.

Whitehead, a Saddleworth Rangers junior, has previously revealed that one conversation with head coach Willie Peters was enough to convince him to make the move.

However, the rising forward is clear that sitting on the sidelines will not be enough.

"I said to Willie at the time [of our first conversation] that I want to push for a starting spot and I want to play," Whitehead told the Mail.
