Tigers wait anxiously for scan news on star man Hughes

HULL City face a nervous wait to find out the extent of the injury that saw star defender Charlie Hughes miss Saturday's 2-1 win at Stoke City.

Hughes was named on the bench at the bet365 Stadium, and though he was in the travelling party, he didn't actually take his place on the touchline, and therefore, Sergej Jakirovic's side were a man down in their matchday squad.

Boss Jakirovic says the problem is a recurrence of the hamstring issue which sidelined the 21-year-old for a spell last season, and was set to have a scan on Sunday.
