IMMERSIVE ART INSTALLATION OF COASTAL LANDSCAPE
A UNIQUE multi-media installation that captures the elemental spirit of one of Britain’s most dynamic coastal landscapes is to launch next month in one of the furthest reaches of Holderness.
Spurn: Rhythms & Reflections, created by sound artist Justin Morey and visual artist Ruthie Ford, is a collaboration between Leeds Beckett University and Yorkshire Wildlife Trust (YWT). It will open on Saturday, May 3, at the historic Spurn Point lighthouse.
Visitors are set to be transported through the ever-changing natural rhythms that define this unique peninsula “where land, sea, wildlife and human presence intersect in constant evolution”, said the YWT, which is responsible for the Spurn Point National Nature Reserve.
