OASIS FAN FAYE WENT INTO LABOUR MINUTES BEFORE BAND WERE DUE ON STAGE

- By HOWARD LLOYD

Stop crying your heart out!

A PREGNANT Oasis fan's dream of watching the band live was dashed - when she went into labour minutes before they were due on stage.

Faye Williams, 34, travelled from her home in Hull to see the band's hotly anticipated return to Manchester at Heaton Park.

The now mum-of-two became pregnant last year with the due date being the day before the concert was taking place on Saturday, July 12. Once she arrived at the gig, she sat near the first aid tent with other pregnant mums and, just as support act Cast walked on stage, Faye entered labour.

She was quickly whisked to North Manchester General Hospital and gave birth to a healthy baby girl who she is yet to name - but has had lots of suggestions such as 'Sally' or 'Lyla'. Both names feature on Oasis songs.

Recalling the moment she said: "We'd waited a long time for Oasis to get back together - It all seemed perfect - the weather, the park, Oasis. We've been waiting so long and were so ready to be there.

"I had absolutely no signs I was ready to give birth, I have had a child before so knew what to expect, but it all went from zero to one hundred so quickly. As Cast came on, I went off.
