Selles signs Ings to help Blades

SHEFFIELD United have bolstered their attacking options ahead of the trip to Middlesbrough by signing former Liverpool, Aston Villa, West Ham United and Burnley striker Danny Ings.

The ex-England international, who held talks with Boro over a potential move to the Riverside Stadium earlier this summer, has joined the Blades on a free transfer.

Winchester-born Ings, released by the Hammers at the end of last season, has penned a one-year deal with an option to extend following a successful trial period at Bramall Lane.

Ings could make his Blades debut against Boro this Saturday.
