Salford Red Devils’ first statement following end of Super League era

AMID uncertainty and following their relegation from Super League, Salford Red Devils insist they can now start to begin planning for a “strong” campaign in the Betfred Championship for the 2026 season.

Salford have been relegated from the topflight following IMG's rankings and scores, placed 15th on the table. They have been replaced by Bradford Bulls, who secured 10th spot - above Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants in 11th and 12th respectively.
The Red Devils opted not to be a part of Super League's expansion process, with the potential of growing to 14 clubs, and have now been confirmed a Championship club from next season.
