PARTNERSHIP HAS REAL MEANING, SAYS KR'S LAKIN

Robins link up with NRL side North Queensland Cowboys

Hull KR chief executive Paul Lakin announced a new partnership with NRL outfit North Queensland Cowboys and insisted: “It has real meaning.”

The Robins will look to develop on and off field pathways and working groups after hooking up with the Australian club.

They have been working together in the background for the last six months to create a partnership to mutually benefit both clubs.

Lakin, who took KR to Amsterdam in January and drove their bid to become Super League representatives in Las Vegas next year, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for us to understand the inner workings of a well-resourced NRL club.

“From first-team to off-field, there's so much we can share with each other and learn from.

“Like us, the Cowboys operate slightly outside the traditional ‘bubble’ and place a big emphasis on incremental growth, community development and the matchday experience to grow.
