Rhinos' Blease: Lisone was offered great deal by Hull

LEEDS Rhinos director of rugby Ian Blease believes Hull FC's offer made it impossible for the club to compete for Sam Lisone's signature.

Prop Lisone has signed a two-year deal to join the Black and Whites next season despite the Rhinos wanting him to stay.

However, Blease has been open about the reality of Leeds' salary cap position heading into 2026 and revealed there was little the club could do to compete once FC 'came in hard' for his signature.

"We were in talks with Sam's management for a number of months now," Blease said.
