Pre-season probably one of hardest I have done, says Amone

TOM Amone has been relishing his first preseason at Hull KR, describing it as one of the toughest he has experienced as preparations continue in Tenerife.

The reigning Super League champions travelled overseas on Friday for a nine-day warm-weather camp, taking advantage of the first-class facilities in Spain’s Canary Islands that have been utilised by several Super League clubs.

Former Dream Team prop Amone, 29, arrived during the off-season after agreeing a new three-year deal at Sewell Group Craven Park.

"Preseason has been tough, probably one of the hardest I’ve done - it’s been good," Amone told the Mail.

"I'm loving being here, and being around a winning environment and people who want to win more trophies. Everyone is on the same page, and everyone knows what they want.
