Portuguese restaurant wins best in county title

A HULL restaurant has been named the best in the region at The Yorkshire Show. Brasa in Newland Avenue won “Best Restaurant East Yorkshire” in the competition last month.

The Portuguese restaurant opened in August last year. Speaking at the time, co-owner Paulo Amorim said Brasa’s mission was to “create exceptional culinary experiences” using the “finest ingredients and attention to detail”.

He said it was the first speciality Portuguese restaurant in Hull. When the Hull Daily Mail visited, we loved the cosy atmosphere and deep-fried pastries known as Rissois Mistos.
