JAMIE Vardy has been ruled out of a transfer to Newcastle United despite being branded a “great value” signing.

The former Leicester City frontman left the King Power Stadium for pastures new at the end of his contract in July, bringing an end to an historic trophy-laden 13 years in the East Midlands.
Since his departure, several reports have linked the 38-year-old with a move to a range of clubs, including an instant return to the English top flight, and even a switch to Championship new boys Wrexham.
