No scientific disagreement about human-induced climate change

PETER Auty (Mail Box, July 8) says that I insult and degrade him.

I'm not sure exactly what he's getting at, but I certainly don't wish him to feel this way and I'm sorry if he does.

I do agree with him that the violence in Ukraine, Sudan and the Middle East is worse than shameful.

It is, as he suggests, criminally destructive of lives and no help to the problem of climate.

Peter also correctly raises concerns about the Amazon Climate COP road: but this is the only forum we have to manage the problem internationally. The road looks like folly, but we at least have a process.
