JWH: I knew after the semi-final that Michael would play in final
Hull Daily Mail

VETERAN hooker Michael Mcllorum was determined to finish his career on his own terms - playing in the Grand Final with a fractured ankle and securing his third title.
-
Mcllorum had missed the last eight fixtures for Hull KR after suffering the injury during training in August.
But the hard-hitting number nine made yet another remarkable comeback to start in KR's 24-6 Old Trafford triumph over his former club, Wigan, capping off a decorated career in style.
Earlier in the season, Mcllorum had also returned from a torn bicep six weeks ahead of schedule to feature in the Challenge Cup Final triumph against Warrington Wolves.
Saturday's victory sealed a historic treble for the Robins, with the League Leaders’ Shield also lifted.
Head coach Willie Peters described the 37-year-old as the toughest player he's ever worked with.
