JAKIROVIC CAUTIOUS ON EXTENT OF CITY STAR'S PROBLEM

HULL City face another anxious wait to find out the extent of the calf problem which forced John Lundstram off just 14 minutes into Saturday’s 1-0 win over Sheffield United.

Lundstram, in his 499th career appearance, limped out of the action after a lengthy period of treat ment at the MKM Stadium and was replaced by Amir Hadziahmetovic, who had been dropped to the bench for the 1-0 win over the Blades, courtesy of David Akintola’s volley on the half-hour.

The former Blade looked in significant discomfort, and though he tried to run the issue off, Sergej Jakirovic was keen to avoid any unnecessary risks with the twoweek international break now arrived and took him off.
