Dragons' Smith retires - at just 28
Hull Daily Mail
|September 03, 2025
CATALANS Dragons back Reimis Smith has confirmed he will retire at the end of the 2025 season aged just 28.
-
Smith joined Super League's French side last year, making five appearances, and has added 17 to his account this term, scoring nine tries.
But he will now hang up the boots at the end of the year, with the player confirmed as one of 13 leaving the Dragons later this month. He will be the third to retire after Sam Tomkins and Elliott Whitehead.
Smith made his professional rugby league debut in the NRL back in 2016. He first played for Canterbury Bulldogs before joining Melbourne Storm, playing 117 games down under and scoring 50 tries.
