'Complex final phase'

MORE A63 CLOSURES ANNOUNCED FOR CASTLE STREET

OVERNIGHT closures will continue on the A63 Castle Street project almost every night until March as it moves into its “complex final phase’.

National Highways says the £355m scheme is “approaching a key milestone” with traffic set to start using the new underpass soon.

During this phase, closures will be in place in both directions from 8pm until 6am, including weekends, until Sunday, March 1, between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way.

A National Highways spokesperson added: “Once traffic is travelling in the underpass, these overnight closures will allow us to complete the connections of the junction entry and exit slip roads and connect Commercial Road to Ferensway.
