TALKS ONGOING WITH STRIKER MCBURNIE

HULL City remain hopeful of securing a deal for Oli McBurnie in the next 24 hours as the Championship club continue to hold talks with the striker.

City have spent much of the summer tracking the 29-year-old and have made their case to bring him to the MKM Stadium with a lucrative, long-term contract on the table.

Boss Sergej Jakirovic had suggested on Saturday that McBurnie would be given the weekend to decide what his plans were, but after more conversations, it's thought some progress has been made with both parties and a growing possibility a deal gets done.
