MORE road closures have been announced as work continues on the A63 Castle Street project.

- By MARK PAGE

They include around five weeks of full overnight closures in both directions along with a full weekend closure of the westbound carriageway late in October.

National Highways says the "major concrete pours are complete and we'll now start to move from the complex structural work to roadworks". The latest run of closures begins next month with the major city centre road remaining open in both directions during the visit of Coldplay tonight and on Tuesday.

They will not take place during the period when Hull Fair is running from Friday, October 10 until Saturday, October 18. The next set of road closures in September and October are scheduled as follows.

All are overnight closures, Monday to Friday, from 8pm and 6am, between Daltry Street and Roger Millward Way unless stated:

■Monday, September 1 - Friday, September 5-closure eastbound only

■Friday, September 5 to Monday, September 8, 6am - no exit from A63 to Princes Dock St

■Monday, September 8 - Friday, September 12 - closure eastbound only.
