30 hours of free childcare available

WORKING parents in Hull can now apply for 30 hours of funded childcare from September. Eligible working parents of children who will be nine months old before September 1, can apply.

It follows the rollout of 15 funded hours for children from nine months last September.

Hull Council says it anticipates that approximately 2,400 children aged two or under will be eligible for the expanded childcare offer - and a total of 4,500 families across the city could benefit from the 30 hours of funded childcare, across all ages, until they start school.
