Sharma takes oath as Rajasthan CM

First-time MLA Bhajan Lal Sharma was on Friday sworn in as the chief minister of Rajasthan, with Diya Kumari and Prem Chand Bairwa taking oath as the state's two deputy chief ministers. Sharma, a Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) state general secretary, took charge of the state on the day he turned 57.

Governor Kalraj Mishra administered the oath of office to Sharma and his deputies in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP president JP Nadda, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, and several other Union ministers, chief ministers of various states and other leaders. Outgoing chief minister Ashok Gehlot also attended the event.
"Sabka saath, sabka vikas will be our priority. We won't spare any effort in making Rajasthan prosperous, self-reliant and the best state in the country," Sharma said after taking the oath.
