Shah, Scindia arrive in Agartala, set to attend key NE meeting today

Union home minister Amit Shah and minister for the development of north-eastern region (DoNER) Jyotiraditya Scindia on Friday arrived in Agartala for the 72nd plenary session of the North East Council (NEC), scheduled to commence on Saturday to deliberate on the development, growth and future road map of the North-East.
The governors and chief ministers of all the eight northeastern states, along with senior officials, will participate in the plenary session, chaired by Shah, at the Prajna Bhavan in the Tripura capital.
Scindia said the plenary session is a crucial forum for deliberation and for implementing the vision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for development and growth of the North-East in future.
