Munak breach repaired, supply to be regular soon

The Delhi Jal Board (DJB) on Monday said the breach in the channel-lined canal (CLC) or the Munak canal in Haryana's Sonepat district has been repaired, with full-scale operations likely to be restored by Tuesday afternoon.
This, the DJB officials said, will ensure full and uninterrupted supply to all Delhi water treatment plants and the areas that are serviced from there.
The channel section near Barwasni village was damaged early on Saturday morning, disrupting raw water supply to the water treatment plants, which feed north and north-west Delhi. This is the second time in the last four months that the walls of the canal breached near the same location.
