INDIA COOPERATING IN NIJJAR MURDER INVESTIGATION, SAYS CANADA EX-NSA

Canada's former National Security and Intelligence Adviser (NSIA) Jody Thomas, who retired on Friday, has highlighted India's increased cooperation in the investigation of Khalistani leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar's murder, and asserted that the two countries are "back towards a healthier relationship".
Nijjar, designated a terrorist by India, was gunned down in the parking lot of a gurdwara in the Canadian town of Surrey on June 18 last year. The Sikh separatist leader's murder, however, triggered a diplomatic spat after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau on September 18 alleged a "potential link" between Indian government agents and the killing. India has termed the allegations "absurd",
