The Directorate (ED) Enforcement on Monday arrested Punjab Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) legislator Jaswant Singh Gajjanmajra in connection with a case registered against him under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) last year.
According to officials aware of the details, Gajjanmajra was arrested after he evaded summons for questioning four times. He was addressing an AAP workers' meeting at Amargarh in Malerkotla district on Monday morning when he was held, the officials cited above said.
Gajjanmajra was taken for medical examination at Jalandhar civil hospital and is likely to be produced in a Mohali court on Tuesday, the officials added.
