24-yr-old engineer held for Rashmika's deepfake video

A 24-year-old man has been arrested for creating a deepfake video of actor Rashmika Mandanna, Delhi Police officials said on Saturday, identifying the suspect as an engineering graduate who ran a fan page for the celebrity and was taken into custody for questioning on Friday from Andhra Pradesh's Guntur district.
The man has been identified as Eemani Naveen from Pedanandipadu village, where he worked from home providing online image and video editing services and took on clients for digital marketing. He was traced after the Delhi Police's Intelligence Fusion and Strategic Operations (IFSO) unit questioned dozens of people and gathered information from Instagram, where the video first went viral in October.
