A 20-year-old woman was allegedly gangraped by two of her friends in Kolkata's Haridevpur area, police said on Sunday, adding that efforts are underway to nab the absconding accused.

The woman, in her police complaint lodged at the Haridevpur police station, alleged that she was invited by one of the accused for his birthday party. "The complainant said one of the accused took her to a house for a birthday party. The woman said there was nobody else in the flat when she arrived and the two raped her," an officer said on anonymity.
