Maulana held for raping 16-yr-old madrasa student

In Moradabad district, a Maulana named Rehan Ali was arrested on charges of raping a 16-year-old female student residing at a madrasa hostel.

The accused was presented in court and subsequently sent to judicial custody.

According to the police, the victim, a student at the madrasa for the past four months, lived in the hostel on the premises. The incident occurred on the night of July 6, 2025, when the accused, Rehan, a resident of Dhakia Jat in Dilari, allegedly entered the victim's hostel room around 2 a.m. The victim's mother, a resident of a village in Dilari, filed a formal complaint, detailing the harrowing ordeal her daughter endured.
