Haridwar Admin Orders Mass Testing As 54 Test +Ve For Hepc

The Haridwar district administration has ordered mass testing and health checkups through medical camps in Gadharona after 54 people in the village tested positive for Hepatitis-C, officials said on Saturday.

Officials aware of the matter said that 54 people tested positive out of 75 people who tested for Hepatitis-C in the last four days. The people who tested positive are from Gadharona village in Haridwar district, which has a population of around 4,000 people.
According to the district health officials, treatment of all the villagers detected with Hepatitis C is being done at the Roorkee government hospital.
