NUCLEAR ENERGY BILL TO BE TAKEN UP FOR PASSAGE

The Union government is set to bring The Sustainable Harnessing and Advancement of Nuclear Energy for Transforming India bill, 2025, or SHANTI Bill for passage in the Lok Sabha on Wednesday amid Opposition's demand for a review of the bill by a parliamentary committee.
The bill was listed for Tuesday but was not tabled due to paucity of time. After the passage of the Insurance bill amendments, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla asked MPs if they want to proceed with the next agenda - the SHANTI Bill.
