Man Held For Raping 8-Year-Old Girl In Haridwar

Hours after an eight-year-old girl was allegedly raped in an agricultural field in Haridwar district, the accused was arrested after an encounter, senior police officials said on Sunday.
HARIDWAR:
Haridwar senior superintendent of police (SSP) Pramendra Dobhal said the incident took place on Saturday evening in Pathri. "A man, originally from Bihar, had filed a complaint on Saturday stating that his minor daughter was forcibly taken to a jungle and raped by a man named Dayanand Singh, also from Bihar," he said.
