A week after Haryana IPS officer Y Puran Kumar allegedly died by suicide, his family has denied the postmortem examination even as the Chandigarh Police sent a fresh reminder, officers aware of the details said on Monday.
Y Puran Kumar
Kumar (52), a 2001-batch IPS officer, was found dead with a gunshot wound at his Chandigarh residence on October 7. In a “final note”, he allegedly accused 14 senior officers, including incumbent state DGP Shatrujeet Singh Kapur and former Rohtak SP Narendra Bijarniya of prolonged caste-based discrimination, targeted mental harassment and humiliation.
