BJP trying to 'steal' Bihar polls: Gandhi; Pradhan hits back

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday alleged that Bharatiya Janata Party was making attempts to “steal the upcoming elections in Bihar, as it did in Maharashtra” last year, as he accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of working for the interest of the BJP.

Addressing his party's “Samvid-han Bachao Samavesh (Save Constitution rally)” in Bhubaneswar, Gandhi said the opposition INDIA bloc has decided to prevent the BJP from stealing the Bihar assembly polls.

“Like Maharashtra, attempts are being made to steal the elections in Bihar. The BJP is attacking our Constitution across the country... At a meeting yesterday, the INDIA bloc decided to prevent the BJP and ECI from stealing the elections in Bihar,” Gandhi said.
