JAMSHEDPUR: Amid preparations to make the Mahatma Gandhi Memorial Medical College and Hospital (MGMMCH) fully functional at its new hospital building on the Dimna (Mango) campus from Monday, the hospital faced allegations after a youth allegedly died due to a lack of timely oxygen supply—an outcome his family blamed on the "haphazard shifting" from the Sakchi campus.

According to the family, late Wednesday night, 21-year-old Neelkamal Singh died at the MGMMCH emergency ward in Sakchi—which, along with the medicine and paediatrics wards, is to be completely shifted by Sunday—after he was brought to MGMMCH having been hit by a tipper-trailer in the Palgam area under the Chowka police station.
