1300-Bed Azim Premji Foundation Hospital to Come Up in Ranchi

Technically supported by Christian Medical College (CMC), Vellore, the Azim Premji Foundation will establish its first hospital in Jharkhand on the land provided by the state government in Ranchi under an MoU signed in September 2022.

The first phase of the hospital will start with 230 beds in January 2027, and gradually it will be converted into a 1,300-bed hospital.

"In the first phase, a 230-bed hospital will be constructed. Construction work will get completed in July 2026, and by January 2027 the hospital will be operational. In the second phase, 780 beds will be added to the hospital by January 2029, and then 300 super-specialty beds will be added after that," said head (health) of the Foundation Anand Swaminathan.
