With IPL looming, sports panels spar over hosting rights

With Rajasthan set to host five matches during the upcoming IPL season, the ad hoc committee of the Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) and the Rajasthan State Sports Council (RSSC) continue to attack each other over who will host the matches.
JAIPUR:
The 2025 Indian Premier League (IPL) matches will run from March 22 to May 25, 2025. There will 10 teams competing in 74 matches that will be played in 13 venues across India.
About two weeks back, the BCCI wrote to the RCA asking about preparations for the IPL matches. After that, Jaideep Bihani, convenor of the ad hoc committee of the RCA, wrote on February 10 to the sports council secretary, Neeraj K Pawan, asking that the Sawai Mansingh Stadium (also known as SMS stadium) be made available to the RCA by February 15.
