Over Years, Cong Has Lost to BJP's Nationalism: CM

Congress, which used to rule from panchayat to Parliament, lost everywhere to the nationalism that had constantly been inspiring Bharatiya Janata Party, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on the death anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, one of the key founders of BJP's parent party Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS).

JAIPUR: Congress, which used to rule from panchayat to Parliament, lost everywhere to the nationalism that had constantly been inspiring Bharatiya Janata Party, chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma said on the death anniversary of Shyama Prasad Mookerjee, one of the key founders of BJP's parent party Bharatiya Jana Sangh (BJS).

Addressing an event at the state party headquarter in Jaipur, the CM said, "Congress is a party that always played divisive politics in India. Shyama Prasad Mookerjee differed with them, and formed BJS to give an alternative to the people. He made this party with a vision of nationalism where everybody would be equally included. Congress, a party that used to rule from panchayat to Parliament, lost everywhere to this nationalism."
