Govt schools to teach in regional languages, dialects in 7 districts

Rajasthan is all set to introduce 7 regional languages and its 18 dialects as the medium of education at the primary level across all the government schools in seven districts from the next session, officials familiar with the matter said.

"The regional languages make the lessons easier for the students in the school which also ensures better growth of the students. Due to various dialects of the teachers and children, students often face difficulties in learning. Hence, we have decided, the curriculum and teaching work in the early years should be done in the local languages so that children can easily learn their studies," education minister Madan Dilawar said during an official event on Thursday.
