Delhi health dept collects over 160 cancer drugs to check authenticity

IN THE PAST MONTH, THERE HAVE BEEN SEVERAL REPORTS OF FAKE CANCER DRUGS BEING SOLD IN DELHI.
NEW DELHI: Following several complaints of drug syndicates dealing in spurious cancer medicines in Delhi, health minister Pankaj Singh on Wednesday said that the health department has collected over 160 random samples of cancer drugs to check for authenticity.
The samples were collected from major drug distribution hubs near AIIMS, Safdarjung Hospital, Lok Nayak Hospital, Rajiv Gandhi Hospital in Rohini, and Laxmi Nagar in east Delhi.
