Defence Mock Drills in 28 Cities Today

In the wake of escalating tension between India and Pakistan after the terror attack in south Kashmir's Pahalgam, the ministry of home affairs has directed all states and Union territories to conduct mock drills on Wednesday which will be held in 28 cities in Rajasthan to check preparedness against new and complex threats.

As per the ministry's list, Rajasthan's two cities Kota and Rawatbhata were listed as the most sensitive zone for the drill under category one. "While Rawatbhata has an Atomic Power Station, Kota also has a Super Thermal Power Station which is why they will be handled as the most sensitive cities during the drill," said an official from the Civil Defence Team of Rajasthan police.
