Cold Wave Tightens Grip as Heavy Rain Lashes State, 2 Killed in Bikaner

Two people were killed in a road accident in Bikaner due to low visibility as rainfall and dense fog disrupted normal life in Rajasthan.

In Udaipur, four flights were diverted due to fog. Additionally, hailstorm was reported in several areas of Jhunjhunu and Hanumangarh.

Light rain, which began on Thursday night, continued till Friday afternoon, causing a significant drop in mercury across the state, including Jaipur and nine other districts.

The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for 15 districts and a yellow alert for 16 others, indicating the possibility of more adverse weather conditions. Moreover, the department has predicted dense fog to persist over the next three days, as cold wave tightened grip across the state.
