240 Held by SIT Since '23 in Exam Leak Cases: DGP

The Rajasthan police's Special Investigation Team (SIT) has arrested over 240 people in connection with paper leaks in the state since December 2023, director general of police (DGP) Utkal Ranjan Sahu said on Friday.

"The SIT has successfully arrested numerous criminals and masterminds involved in paper leak cases over the past year. This decisive action has sent a clear message that any manipulation of the law will not be tolerated in the state," he said.

Sahu said that the SIT has filed 94 first information reports (FIRs) and has arrested 244 people in connection with these cases since December 15, 2023. Of the arrested, 176 of them are currently in jail.

Sahu said that Rajasthan has seen a positive shift in its examination processes.
