B'luru woman stabbed to death

A 25-year-old software engineer was arrested late on Sunday for stabbing a 35-year-old woman to death in Bengaluru allegedly after she distanced herself from their relationship, police officers aware of the matter said on Monday.

The incident took place on June 6 inside a private hotel in Poornaprajna Layout under Subramanyapura police station limits, and the accused surrendered himself before police the next day, they added.

The victim was identified as Harini Dasegowda, a resident of Hemmigepura near Kengeri, who was married to Dasegowda, a local landlord, for over a decade. The accused was identified as R Yashas, a resident of Talaghattapura, police said.
